I dunno, I see people growing, building new stuff and creating joy for others all the time. I see even more that are trying to.
Those that are trying would have a far easier time and be able to create better stuff if they didn't have to pander to the money though. Some of the best new stuff comes from some random little indie who isn't tied down by what is "profitable", whereas some of the greatest talent and minds are restricted from innovation or passionate work because the company doesn't actually care about the product, only how much money it can generate.

Regardless, there's plenty of great stuff happening. It all depends on where you look and who you interact with, a toxic doomer community is always going to be focused on being toxic doomers.
