Beyond yesterday,
Resting in tomorrows sunset.
The scarred lady shines –
Reflecting – now; this evening's bloom.
/ /
Rarely by one's own,
Are riders on the wave - a thrill!
The wave? Nigh alone.
To be the stone; lonelier still,
In the ocean thrown.
/ /
Let the hand be restored;
Blindfold removed.
The great net drawn -
The dog to check balance again.
Evenhanded, feathers placed,
Hearts weighed, eyes witness.
Oppressed no more;
Just war – people freed.
/ /
To seekers of lost,
Of bridges and boundaries too;
His favour He'll bring,
Revealing all of the untrue -
Once lost, found: Althing.
/ /
They hide in shadow,
Share a dance in the fog;
Deceivers unseen, betwixt and between.
Aware they all are, aware they are not,
For the mist that shrouds all -
It watches - 'tis no simple lot.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
An age, seems as now,
When long ago; walked darkened halls,
And those around seemed to revel.
False lights flickered; with all entranced,
A figure spied, to Her 'twas hell,
Sitting, crying, all others danced.
Approaching, saw - this Maiden fair,
Her anguish? Well, it was her hair!
"Why? Why?" Sobbed, and moaned:
"Why won't it flow?" asked Maiden fair.
Her hair I saw; a waterfall,
Pondered - came to care.
Her gift to all, to all her wealth,
Blocked, it was by simple rock,
The world sought only stones that glitter,
Of things that shine, not health - all bitter.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
Silken words; actions too,
Farmed, refined and sold.
Young worth more, even flu,
The ads aren't for the old.
Scoop it out - the oil of mind -
And pile it on the track.
Shipped away, this new silk road,
Analyzed - refined - then sold.
/ /
Shitposts they make - some silk - no doubt,
Walking, talking, buy a thing.
A route, a thought, a diamond ring,
At times it's all for e-peen - clout.
But when enough is gathered up,
The weavers weave, and sell 'em out.
A product built from lives of we,
Turn around and market me... to me.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
A rose weeping, a tumbling stone,
Either, neither; same.
Nobody; 'tween the two alone,
Longed to speaketh plain.
Long rifles aimed and buckets thrown,
Him they sought to gain.
Alas, a lack; pidgeon flown - still -
Neither spoke his name.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
Mother bird felt it was time;
So three birds were helped out of the nest.
The birds all went down in free fall,
They squawked and spun around out of control.
Then one bird began to instinctively flap,
Then another, then another,
Still the ground approached rapidly.
Mother bird sat in the nest, not even watching the falling birds.
Father bird flew down behind them, screaming "Fly you fools! FLY!"
One bird heard him from his right ear,
This bird struggled and barely slowed his descent.
His vision became red as blood, and he raged,
"Why Mother? I hate you for doing this!"
One bird heard him from his left ear,
This bird struggled but felt the wind beneath his wings,
His vision had been red, but lifting slightly, it softened to pink.
"Oh Mother, I love you! I'm coming back Mother!"
The third bird heard him so loudly he couldn't focus,
His brothers either side screaming confused him even further,
He couldn't think, he couldn't understand anything anymore,
He could see the ground approaching, and screamed in defiance,
All of his senses, his entire being were overloaded - except his Will.
This third bird flapped so hard he forgot he was doing it,
He flew so hard and straight up, that his vision became black.
In his blacked out state, seeing nothing, he stopped.
For a single moment, he didn't move in any direction or see anything.
As his vision restored he saw only pure white around him,
Then the white swirled, he saw it was clouds and fell through.
Then he saw the nest, he saw his brothers, he saw, everything else;
All the things that he never knew about, an unexplored infinity of possibilities.
This bird flapped, not too hard, not too slow,
Not only his left wing, not only his right,
This new bird flew calmly, with majesty, as great eagles do.
He missed his Mother, he would return to visit sometime,
He knew there wouldn't be room, Mother would have more babes to raise,
But he would visit, after he built a new nest – his way.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
Look West, then peer right,
Peek ye below, then seek far South,
Equal; up at night.
Map a path; dance 'tween dragon's mouth.
Ever North; a light?
When seeking Truth and happy lives,
While you roam in glee,
Still, when friends all throw high fives,
Care! Else – arrow-knee?!
More – a fool, or brave: “I'll survive!”
Proven paths, forest, tree;
A dragon waits you to arrive –
They don't want you free.
A crucial tool of dragon-foe,
Keeping hidden: rules.
Teaching part, then reap from below -
Hoarding all our jewels.
Be as water; between them flow.
Come on, you should know. Of course I dare mock you.
